dance, written 2/14/10 by Toni L.A. Cross

fluidity

liquid motion

floating on air

carried by something invisible

soaring into another sublime realm

higher and higher with every heartbeat

dance

The first time I saw the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater…I could not believe that human bodies could have such ‘fluidity’ and such amazing story telling power…how well you have captured the ‘sublime’ and ‘heartbeat’ of that experience…thanks for reminding me of it!
