simply solitude. — toni l.a. cross — 2/3/10

sister’s slippers standing silent

sleeper’s solitude secure

serene stupor seizes smoothly

something sighs softly

sudden shift stirs!

sulking solemn shadows

slink shapeless

sunrise starts shimmering

songbirds sing sweetly

slumber subsides subsequently

    cutest post!
    I love it!

  3. This a masterpiece poem!!! It takes a very refined skill to stick 100% to the alliteration. I wonder if I could do that too??

And hey, I came here via Jingle and I am hereby bestowing the “Jannie Funster Lucky Lupine Award” upon YOUR poetry blog! You can see it and whisk it home away from this post of mine…

    • Thanks a bunch! I wrote with my brother in mind. He is 13 and a budding poet, so I plan to give him a homemade book of my poems for his next birthday. I want to have one of each well-known poetry style. You should try alliteration! Its sooo fun to read!
