a bachelor’s apartment… Toni L.A. Cross

rumpled clothes
that smell of smoke
lie in abandoned heaps
a creaky old fridge
stands dubious
filled to the brim
with beer
and slightly questionable takeout
the couch is plaid
and stained
with you-don't-want-to-know-what
the poster child for lead poisoning
an ancient bed
with many layers
of peeling paint
is sighing its last breath in the corner
newspapers doing double duty
as coasters and napkins
the trashcan reeks of old mcdonald's
what kind of lair is this?
what sort of creature is banished here?

About goatgirlbookworm

My name is Toni Cross, and I was raised on a farm in the far north of the United States. I love to read and write and I hope to use those hobbies in a greater way in the days to come. One of my passions is using whatever influence I have to make a difference in the world.
