E-Friends Rock?

So many of our actual friendships are in danger of going cold and lifeless, due to the e-trend.

Have you noticed how much easier it is to IM or text someone rather than actually take time out of your busy schedule to sit down with them?

You can invent a completely “new” you, which only slightly resembles the actual you and get away with it!

Have you noticed that it is much more painful to discuss your differences face to face, instead of throwing sarcastic little barbs at your opponent? Oh yes, we try to soften them by adding on a little 😛 or maybe the ever witty comment “LOL”…

Now, I am not saying that I advocate abstaining from electronic devices completely, but it might do us a WHOLE lot of good to try communicating love without the help of an inanimate object at least once a day.

Just a thought…

I reallly rather dislike how tech has taken over the universe; me and my closest friend never had a serious argument in 3 years, until she got a cell and we texted all day. Of course, when you text you feel more comfy saying what you really think, and so thanks a lot to the age of technology, we had our first huge fight.. But, I suppose that’s virtual contact for you, a blessing and a curse.
