Ultrasound… By Toni Cross

tiny foot pushing blindly in the womb

making ripples that surge softly

along the sinuous walls of this natal room

minute toes flex and curl

exquisite miracle drifting in an amniotic sea

hidden like an oyster sheltered pearl

waves of sound reflect back

surveying complex curves and lines

portraying art on primitive black

first glimpse achievement of the unseen

cradled like treasure with awe

light glancing off the glassy sheen

About goatgirlbookworm

My name is Toni Cross, and I was raised on a farm in the far north of the United States. I love to read and write and I hope to use those hobbies in a greater way in the days to come. One of my passions is using whatever influence I have to make a difference in the world.

Very special moment capture in the poem…of course when you see that sight with more than one…I suspect there would be a bit of a heart flutter. 😉
