Father… by Toni L.A. Cross

I molded you and fashioned you

I guided you with care

My hand was always holding you

When no one else was there

I saw the depths of your dreams

I wept at your heart laid bare

You shove me back with pudgy fists

Say that I’m not fair

Don’t you see I love you so?

I’ll take the pain you bear

Give up to me and let me free

You from yourself

My name is Toni Cross, and I was raised on a farm in the far north of the United States. I love to read and write and I hope to use those hobbies in a greater way in the days to come. One of my passions is using whatever influence I have to make a difference in the world.

Strange the poem seems to have a sad tone flowing through it…still a fine poem my friend.
