Creating A Family and Tiling Their Floor

Here’s what I’ve been up to, posted from my other blog. (Be sure to expand the post, in order to see pictures of the dolls I made.) Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!

An Adventure In Miniatures

I am currently on vacation and on Tuesday, I spent my time working on my dollhouse project. I completed the heads of my dollhouse family, inspired by these two tutorials: Creating Mini Waldorf Doll Faces and Creating Swaddle Dolls.

It should be noted that my little family is supposed to be victorianesq, thus, the father’s hair.

I also tiles the floor of one of the future rooms in my dollhouse. The tiles are actually tiny squares that I cut from an old leather jacket.

I was going for this sort of look:

I rather like how mine turned out! However, I thought it would take an hour to do and it took more than three times that ammount of time. Oh well, it was worth it! Click the image of the flooring below for a complete slideshow.
