Do you take the time
To find beauty beneath the grime
Pausing from the fast pace
To find simple ethereal grace
Hear strings tuning in the whoosh of passing cars
Listen to earth’s orchestra playing the opening bars
From lonely fields of flowers
To skyscrapers glistening in showers
Harmoniously singing curve and bending line
Heroic oak and romantic pine
Hulking and swaying metal bridge
Solitary goat on a woody sunlit ridge
Take a sighing moment
Absorb a majestic quotient
Of webby spider lace
And artistic graffiti face
Beautiful sentiment and poem Toni…I think we all need to slow down and enjoy the world around us.
Thanks… I live in such a beautiful place, but I usually don’t even see it. I just take it for granted.
